I offer individual therapy for adults (18+) via video, telephone or in person.

Video sessions can resemble face-to-face sessions which is sometimes more effective than telephone sessions, however, I am happy to accommodate you.

Sessions are offered either on a short-term basis or open-ended.

The person-centred approach is one of the Humanistic modalities founded by Carl Rogers. It's a non-directive approach which provides the best conditions (empathy, congruence and unconditional positive regard) to help clients to feel safe, understood and not judged. The client is viewed as the expert on themselves and I will facilitate you to access your own abilities and autonomy and help you with your personal growth.

The roots of Psychodynamic therapy stem from Sigmund Freud's theories and psychoanalysis. It can help you to go a bit deeper by understanding the unconscious meanings and motivations behind your current feelings and behaviour. Past experiences and childhood can be explored to see how the past may be affecting you in your present life. The relationship between the counsellor and client is seen as a crucial aspect of successful therapeutic outcomes.

Psychodynamic therapy
We think we listen, but very rarely do we listen with real understanding, true empathy. Yet listening, of this very special kind, is one of the most potent forces for change that I know.”
